An RV Mattress

At the end of a long day of driving and traveling, you want to have a comfortable surface that you can rest your head-on. A typical mattress will take up too much room with the springboard and all of its accessories. This is why you need to invest in an RV mattress.

The most important thing is having the option to redesign at any given point. The experts at The Wandering RV recommended finding a mattress that works for you. Always remember to try it out, because the last thing you want is to buy a mattress that you don't find comfortable. Water Pressure Regulator

To control the flow of water, you need something to be apple to regulate the pressure and everything that it spits out. Without that, there will be no water able to come from any of your hoses. Simply pick up a water pressure regulator and install it at the end of the water tank. This will allow you to take showers and use the water for drinking. Do not even think about leaving for an RV adventure without having one of these.

Drinking Water Hose

Water is necessary for survival. No matter how much you try to avoid it, there comes a point in the trip where you are going to have to drink water. This is where a drinking water hose comes in. These are specially designed for drinking out of, as the inside is made of a material that will not contaminate the water.

Get your RV tank full of water and when you are ready to have something to drink, attach this hose to the end of it. Turn on the hose using the water pressure regulator and enjoy some water that is safe for drinking. Having a drinking water hose is mandatory for each and every RV trip.

Surge Protectors

RVs are able to output power, however, they are limited depending on the model you get. If you are unaware of how much power your vehicle can output, you should strongly consider picking up a surge protector. This will ensure that if you make a mistake with the electricity in your RV, nothing else will be damaged. Ensure that you get yourself a surge protector to keep all electronics safe in the RV.

Emergency Road Kit

Always prepare for the worst with an RV, especially if you are going to be going off-road and away from the rest of civilization. You will have to have enough supplies to survive for a few days if you end up getting stranded. Along with that, it is strongly recommended that you carry an emergency road kit.

This should include things like a spare tire and a tank of gas. Also, consider bringing a jumper kit and a battery that you can jump from. If you blew the circuits in the car or drained the battery, you need to be able to get it back running again. Anything that can help the RV if you run into any problems. While the chances of this happening are slim, it is better to be safe than sorry with your RV.

Fire Extinguisher

As mentioned above, you want to prepare yourself for any given situation. A fire extinguisher will be able to help solve any fire-related problems that occur with your RV, whether it is a problem with the engine, or an accident while cooking. If you don't bring an extinguisher along with you, you risk losing out on thousands of dollars if not more with one fire.

A Shower Head and Shower Accessories

While you will be spending time out in nature and enjoying the world, you still want to ensure that you are being hygienic and cleaning yourself. There are shower heads that you can buy and use for your RV. Having a hose separate from your drinking hose is important here as well, as you will most likely be running hot water through the hose.

Simply take your shower head and install it onto the end of the hose to use. You also want to consider picking up several optional shower accessories. Even though you are away from civilization, you might not be comfortable showering out in the open. There are portable shower curtains that you can get for your outdoor shower, allowing you to keep your modesty while getting clean. If that doesn't work for you, you can wear a bathing suit during your showers. Make sure that you are getting shower accessories for your RV trip to keep things smelling nice throughout the adventure.

By following these tips, you should be able to successfully plan and execute your RV trip. Make sure you plot out where you plan on driving to and bring a GPS with you to ensure that you are traveling the right way. Exploring and driving around the world can be extremely fun as long as you are able to relocate yourself if you get lost at any point. Pack enough to get by, but don't over-prepare and bring too many things. Get out there and enjoy nature for what it is. What do you plan on bringing on your first RV adventure?
